ASTRA DF®
Silicone Defoamers
Silicone defoamers for effective foam control in various industrial processes. Fast foam destruction, good compatibility, minimal impact on coating clarity.
Why use silicone defoamers?
Foam is one of the most common defects in industrial coatings, leading to pinholes, craters and weak films. Silicone defoamers rapidly destroy foam bubbles thanks to ultra-low surface tension. They work at very low dosages and remain effective across long shelf life.

Key Benefits
- Rapid Foam Destruction — instant defoaming on application
- Low Dosage — economical use 0.1-1%
- Persistent Effect — works during storage and application
- Clarity Preservation — minimal impact on transparent coatings
- Compatible with epoxy, PU, alkyd, polyester systems
- No surface defects when properly dosed
Impact on Coating Performance
ASTRA DF defoamers deliver flawless film formation in high-build coatings, epoxy floors and printing inks. Their broad compatibility reduces formulation development time and protects coating performance.
O – organosoluble, RC – radiation-curable
